Elements represent the building blocks of the entire universe and are made up of atoms of one substance. Each of our Elemental anker is consists of three points of interests. In the middle of the anker you’ll find the element symbol with it’s name immediately below. The top left displays the atomic number which is the number of protons found in the nucleus of every atom of that element. In the bottom left you’ll see the atomic mass. It’s calculated using the average of the relative atomic masses of all the isotopes of a chemical element weighted by their respective abundance on Earth.
Our introductory “Elemental” set contains three important elements:
Iron: The most abundant material (by mass) on the planet.
Copper: Is one of the few metals that can occur in nature in a directly usable metallic form (native metals). This led to very early human use in several regions, from c. 8000 BCE
Aluminium: Was more expensive than gold until the mid-1800’s when industrial production was finally established.
Remember to “anker your style”. Don’t feel a need to match Iron to Iron. Mix it up! Use the various ankers colours (or chemical properties) to compliment and highlight what you’re wearing.
These are 99.99% pure elements , while stain resistant, they will oxidize. Polishing will remove the tarnish, but long-term polishing will wear away at the laser etching.
