Colombia is the largest producer on the planet of emeralds making up between 50%-90% of world-wide production depending on the year. Emeralds have been revered throughout cultures and history from Queen Cleopatra to the Aztecs and Russian royalty.
According to Colombian legend Tena, an evil god transformed in to a human and soon discovered love with princess Fura. Tena was a warrior, but unfortunately fell in battle. Fura so sadden by the loss of her love cried so intensely her tears fell to the ground as green crystals which we know today as emeralds.
Made from rough emeralds with various pyrite inclusion and 900 recycled silver.
