Toronto, Ontario – August 14, 2019 - pranga & co is honoured to have been selected as one of ten participants in the Toronto Fashion Incubator's ("TFI") London Fashion Week ("LFW"), A Celebration of Canadian Design. Earlier this year the TFI sent out a national call for entry, inviting Canadian designers to show at LFW. The response was overwhelming with designers from across the country vying for one of the ten openings.
"Our international panel of judges including media personality Jeanne Beker, CM, host of Fashion Television and Hilary Alexander, OBE, the former fashion director of The Daily Telegraph, chose the top 10 winners based on design, export market readiness and product appropriateness for the UK market," said Susan Langdon, Executive Director, TFI. "There's a huge awareness and interest in accessible, well-designed, sustainable products and pranga & co's stunning gender-neutral cufflinks made from found and upcycled materials were exactly what the judges were looking for."
"We're looking forward to our formal introduction in to the UK market," expressed Daniel Feuer, founder of pranga & co. "In prior seasons the TFI event has attracted international sales agents, retailers such as Net-a-Porter, Matches and Harvey Nichols and media such as VOGUE, FabUK, Drapers, NY Times, ELLE UK. We've been gaining good traction in Canada and we're excited about the potential exposure and next logical step in our growth in the UK."
pranga & co along with additional TFI winners, Anastassia Sel (anastassiasel.com), David Dixon (daviddixon.ca), Iris Setlakwe (collectioniris.com), Judith and Charles (judithandcharles.com). J.Y. Gao (jygao.com), Kripp It (krippit.com), Studio Lorem Ipsum (studioloremipsum.com), Vandal Goods (vandalgoods.com) and Yoga Jeans (yogajeans.ca) will be in London, September 12th and 13th.
